The trace impurity signals in high-purity hydrogen are weak. By removing most of the hydrogen through a palladium membrane, trace impurities can be concentrated 10-1000 times, so there is no need for expensive instruments such as mass spectrometry or helium ion chromatography; conventional chromatography is sufficient for analysis. The detection sensitivity is high, and the equipment is conventional.
